Advancing the Mission
Stewardship Campaign
The Catholic Foundation of Green Bay is sponsoring a capital stewardship campaign in every Green Bay Diocese parish over the next two years. The stewardship campaign, sponsored by the Catholic Foundation, is named Advancing the Mission.
The five goals of Advancing the Mission stewardship campaign are to: (1) foster Vibrant Parishes throughout the Green Bay Diocese, (2) support Leadership Development through our seminarians and lay persons in critical pastoral and administrative roles, (3) reach out to inactive or alienated Catholics, non-Catholics, and non-Christians through Evangelization, (4) provide access to Lifelong Education and (5) care for our retired diocesan priests. One half of the funds raised through Advancing the Mission will remain in our parish to fulfill the diocesan goal of Vibrant Parishes. Advancing the Mission will seek gifts and pledges over three years. Most parishes will be finished with their pledging between 2009 and 2011. Advancing the Mission at Annunciation “… Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you?” Luke 6:38
The success of Annunciation’s Advancing the Mission campaign will determine which programs and projects we can offer to you. The opportunities being considered are:
· Handicap Accessibility: to provide a way for our handicapped parishioners to access our worship space, our school and our parish hall (basement).
· Young Adult Ministry: to grow the faith of our young adults by contributing $15,000 to the development of the Don Bosco Youth Center.
· Debt Reduction: to reduce our debt by $100,000.
· Air Conditioning: to provide comfort for our parishioners at Mass during the hot summer days.
The degree of realized funding will determine which project or projects are implemented.
